Best Brunch Cafés in Glen Waverley

There are different types of people who brunch; there are those who go to brunch for the gram, those who go to catch up over food, or those who go to purely just eat. So if you’re looking for a new brunch spot, Glen Waverley is a place to try out. Located near the station and Village cinemas, it has the perfect atmosphere for a day out, so here are some places to get your brunch-on.

1809 café

1809 is the sister café to Trei and Muharam, though it seems that this café is the “better sister.” It’s located within the suburbs of Glen Waverley, rather than the noisy and congested town centre of “Century City.” Service is friendly and servings are generous. Would recommend the Granola & Blueberry Panna Cotta.

Piatella café

This is one of your go to places if you can’t find anywhere to eat. Would recommend sharing some dishes as they give out very large servings. It may seem a bit pricey, but what you pay for, is what you get. Service is great but may take a while, depending on what time you go as it can get a bit crowded. It’s better to reserve a table if you’re going during peak times.

Platform 7 café

Platform 7 gives you a great and unique vibe when you walk in, with friendly staff to greet you as you do. The interior is dark, so not your ideal bright Instagram photo space but the food makes up for it. Service is quick and they will always check up on you, which is great. It is located right in front of the station so it’s a great place to grab a bite or a coffee before you head anywhere. Would recommend the Hash Hot Chocolate served with Fairy Floss.

Workshop Bros

This cafe is currently new to Glen Waverley and has an unique asian-inspired menu, making it super different to surrounding cafés. The atmosphere of the café is relaxing and the interior is simple and beautiful. The food is known to be very filling. The Peanutella drink is surprisingly nice and something you should try out.

Mocha Jo’s

Mocha Jo’s is another go to place if you really can’t pick out a place to eat. They serve a range of “modern Australian food” from acai smoothie bowls to grilled chicken burgers. Service is welcoming but a little slow. Wouldn’t suggest it if you’re trying to get the best food for your money as some food may be a bit overpriced. Atmosphere is bustling and there are plenty of car-park spaces near the café.

Trei café

If you’ve got patience and you want something aesthetic to Instagram, Trei cafe is your place to go. Service is friendly but seems to be a bit slow, but hey at the end of the day, at least you’ll get a nice pic to gram. Taste of the food is average and nothing too surprising, though serving sizes are generous.
